We begin our journey at Yankee Candle Village, located in South Deerfield, Massachusetts. Visiting the flagship store provides amusement and holiday cheer year-round. Spend your visit roaming the winding showrooms and losing yourself in the infinite varieties of fragrant scents. You can explore Santa's workshop and wander through the Bavarian Christmas Village where it snows every four minutes...inside! Sweeten your trip at our Fudge Shop and Yankee Candy – featuring 125 different types of candy. Yankee Candle Village truly has something for everyone. After, lunch is served at the Deerfield Inn. Choice between: Herb Crusted White Fish (topped with toasted herbed crumbs with a sundried tomato butter sauce), Lemon-Rosemary Chicken Breast or Vegetable Lasagna Rolls. The meal comes with warmed rolls and butter, baby green salad, coffee, tea, and dessert. Our journey continues, this afternoon, with a self-guided tour at Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory and Gardens. Magic Wings is an 8,000 square foot glass conservatory filled with butterflies, moths and tropical vegetation. Year round, the conservatory is kept at 80 degrees which creates a tropical-like environment. The sound of the waterfall, peaceful music and hundreds of butterflies fluttering freely through the air provides a tranquil and serene atmosphere. Bring your camera for some beautiful photo opportunities. If you’re lucky, one might even land on you!
